NY'S "DO NOT CALL" REGISTRY / FIND OUT MORE - REGISTER ONLINE

Dear Friend,

In 2000, I sponsored legislation to create New York State’s "Do Not Call" program to protect consumers from unwanted telemarketing calls. Since then, nearly five million New Yorkers have taken advantage of this very effective program. New York’s "Do Not Call" Registry has grown so fast and remained so popular because it works!

To provide even greater protection against unwanted telemarketing sales calls, New York State will be merging its highly successful "Do Not Call" registry with the new National "Do Not Call" registry established by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This action will provide New Yorkers with the most comprehensive "Do Not Call" protection available.

New Yorkers who signed up for the NYS "Do Not Call" registry prior to July 1, 2003, can enjoy the added protection of the new national registry without having to re-register.

To register for "Do Not Call" protection and get additional information regarding the new national registry, check out the links below or call the FTC’s toll-free hotline at 1-888-382-1222 from the number you wish to register.

I am proud to have sponsored such a successful law, and I will continue to fight to protect your privacy.

Sincerely,

Bill Larkin
State Senator
